Root Canal Treatment

Root canal treatment is an effective and safe treatment used to repair and save a badly damaged or infected tooth instead of removing it. Saving a natural tooth avoids having to replace it with an artificial tooth. With dental advancements and local anesthetics, most people have little to no pain during a root canal procedure. In fact, it's probably more painful living with a decayed tooth.  If you’re experiencing tooth pain, contact us to schedule an appointment and have your symptoms evaluated.

Symptoms of Infection

Our team may recommend root canal treatment to remove the diseased pulp if you experience any of the following symptoms:

  • Visible injury

  • Swelling in gums

  • Temperature sensitivity

  • Pressure and pain in gums and tooth

Root Canal Process

The success of root canal treatment occurs in nearly 90% of cases. The process involves removing the infected or injured tissue (pulp) from inside the crown and roots of a tooth.  Once cleaned, the canal is disinfected , filled and sealed.

Root Canal Aftercare

After completion of the root canal, the dentist places a temporary filling. You will then be scheduled for an appointment for a permanent restoration within two weeks. The dentist will evaluate the kind of restoration required for your tooth protection and usually protect your tooth with a crown.
